A local public establishment, Sipperec* brings together 122 member local authorities in the 7 departments of Île-de-France outside Paris. It was the first public actor in Île-de-France to support local authorities in their transition towards clean mobility. Since January 2017, more than 1,600 vehicles and 1,350 charging stations have already been deployed to equip municipal fleets via its Sipp’n’co purchasing center. The Union carried out the first studies on clean mobility needs and uses in Île-de-France. It committed, as of September 2019, to installing up to 3,000 charging points in its territory by 2030. To deploy the “la borne bleue” network on public land, Sipperec takes full responsibility for investment operations, thanks to subsidies offered by the Île-de-France Region. As a public contracting authority, it guarantees rapid implementation and a coherent mesh across the entire territory. These infrastructures are then operated by Sipperec, at its own expense, to guarantee users a reliable and quality service.

The Region adopted its Electromobility Development Plan in November 2019 and revised it in March 2024. It aims to multiply the number of charging stations for electric vehicles by 5.5 throughout Île-de-France. While there are 18,000 today in Île-de-France, the objective of this massive plan is to reach 100,000 stations available to users by 2030. Regional funding has enabled Sipperec to deploy 1,000 charging points. A quality label is awarded by the Region. It is granted to stations that are geolocated, supervised, and regularly maintained. It guarantees optimal service quality to users.
The “En route pour l’électromobilité en Île-de-France” charter
It brings together the State, the Île-de-France Region, ENEDIS, ADEME, the National Association for the Development of Electric Mobility, and Île-de-France Mobilités, who have committed to coordinating their efforts to promote the development of electric mobility in Île-de-France.
